Plans of business entity

I have realized that when one decides to start a company, they will first have to make a plan as to the goal of the company and then put these goals at the forefront whenever an issue of compliance or target schedule is being questioned. One area of an audit which uses this instrument is a Gap Analysis. Based on my understanding of the term, the goal / mission statement of the company will be scrutinized so as to determine whether or not the goals are being reach; by what means this is occuring and if not, why the company has failed to reach its target.

Networking

In the business world it is important to have 'links'. Although this might sound like the catalyst for corruption, the fact of the matter is that once a business owner finds himself around persons with the particular resources that his company requires to grown, he will be set for life.
When we establish a network we move out of our comfort zones and step in to an unfamiliar teritory but before doing this we must be willing to take the risk. The risk might not be financial but by the mere fact that you are putting your company name out there you have to decide whether or not you are up for the competition or if you are ready for the volume of business you are about to receive.
In my view, the gains of a strong business network ensures that a business strives; all the owner has to do it step up to the plate and mingle a bit.

Common Cultural Blunders

I find that this is the biggest problem that multinational companies will have. Lets face it even though technology has reduced a few barriers, there will always be some difficulty when it comes to communicating a message whether it be a cultural difference or 'pride of own'.

Communication as a topic

To say that you have total understanding of what communication is would be a difficult thing for all. We talk to our friends everyday but we have never sat and broken down communication into its elements. What we do know however, is that whenever when say something, we want those around us to understand it. This is only a small area of communication - the basics actually- but this is area we always have problems with.
